Bentley Turbo RT
The Bentley Turbo RT was the last, rarest, most powerful and most expensive of the Turbo line. The Bentley RT came with the 400 bhp (298 kW; 406 PS) twin-turbo 6.8 L V8 engine of the two-door Continental T installed.
It is visually differentiated from other Bentley Turbo models by its sport wheels, radiator mesh grille and colour-coded bumpers with bright mesh inserts. Performance was breathtaking: with a top speed of 152 mph (245 km/h) the ultra-luxurious Turbo RT was one of the world's fastest four-door saloons at the time. The car's base price was US$ 211,600 (roughly US$65,000 more than the Turbo R), and just 252 units were produced. Few even rarer editions of the RT were made: The Bentley Turbo RT Olympian: in 1998, London dealer Jack Barclay agreed to have a small number of cars built to incorporate many special features. These are probably the rarest of version of the RT and were sold as the Bentley Turbo RT Olympian and can be identified by the 5 spoke alloy wheels (borrowed from the 'Mulliner' version) and the Olympian boot badge. It is estimated that only 4 examples of this version were ever built. The Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner: The stunning looking Mulliner version - built to special order only - was even more exclusive, and expensive, boasting a 420 bhp (313 kW; 426 PS) engine, widened track and bodywork and a host of highly desirable options. it is also, without doubt, the most distinctive. Mulliner was the Bentley coachbuilders and was based at Crewe. A torque output is 634lbfp (861 Nm) was achieved by developing a new compressor for the turbocharger and through modifications to the air intake system. The RT Mulliner is equipped with low-profile 255/55 tyres and new 18' sports allow wheels. The Turbo RT was produced during 1997 and 1998 only, 252 unit were produced (including 'Olympian' versions). For the Mulliner edition, just 56 Bentley Turbo RT Mulliner Mulliner were built of which 17 were right-hand drive. 7 of those cars were Standard Wheel Base and 49 Long Wheel Base.
